Using the AI features in WP Snippets AI

WP Snippets AI connects Anthropic API or OpenAI API services to generate code for your snippet (Generate Code); analyse your snippet with descriptive feedback (Analyse Snippet); and make snippet code improvements and recommendations (Improve Snippet).

To use the premium AI features, purchase a WP Snippets AI license, and add your license key.

Then create and connect your Anthropic API or OpenAI API account as shown below.

  • Create an API account for Anthropic or OpenAI;
  • Purchase Anthropic API or OpenAI API tokens;
  • Create a new API key;
  • Add this API key to the Settings of WP Snippets AI

Yes it most certainly is. There are a number of quality AI models to choose from that are reliable and incredibly affordable.

For example, we used the highly popular Claude 4 Sonnet by Anthropic to generate code for a notification popup demo.  This query generated over 300 lines of code for a cost of only 3 cents.  This cost was calculated because the query used 13 input tokens plus 2970 output tokens for the generated code.

The code generated for the notification popup snippet was bug free and worked perfectly as shown in the video. 

How does it work?

WP Snippets AI uses the API key you created and added to connect to your Anthropic or OpenAI API account. Each time you use a WP Snippets AI feature, OpenAI or Anthropic will deduct AI tokens from your account.

Your License

If you have your email and license key handy, you can click the WP Snippets AI menu item on the WordPress backend, and then you will see more menu items appear, click where it says License. Copy and paste your license key where it says ‘Enter your license key’, then add your email where it says ‘Email address used for purchase’.
